If you will be traveling and plan on using your CEFCU VISA, we recommend notifying CEFCU in advance. Changes in your spending pattern, especially transactions made out-of-state or overseas, often trigger a security alert with our fraud protection system.
If there appears to be fraudulent activity on your card, your ability to use your card may be temporarily suspended, and a representative of CEFCU card security will immediately attempt to contact you. However, if you are traveling, it may be difficult to reach you to verify the charges, and you could be inconvenienced if you are unable to use your credit card.
Please contact a Caltech Employees Federal Credit Union Representative to advise us of your next trip or with any additional questions at (818) 952-4444 or (800) 592-3328, Option 3. For after hours assistance with your CEFCU VISA you may also call our VISA Card Services Center at (800) 654-7728. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
As soon as your travel plans are set, make it a regular part of your travel preparation to contact CEFCU.
