Traveling With Your CEFCU VISA

As soon as your travel plans are set, contact CEFCU if you plan on using your CEFCU VISA. Let us know of your travel dates and the countries and cities you’ll be visiting.

Changes in your spending pattern, especially transactions made out-of-state or overseas, may trigger a security alert with our fraud protection system. Knowing where you plan to travel will allow transactions that appear to be out of the ordinary to be processed.

Make it a regular part of your travel preparations
If there appears to be fraudulent activity on your card, your ability to use your card may be temporarily suspended, and a representative of CEFCU card security will immediately attempt to contact you. However, if you are traveling, it may be difficult to reach you to verify the charges, and you could be inconvenienced if you are unable to use your CEFCU VISA.

If your card is lost, stolen or damaged during your trip—upon approval—an emergency card will be provided only if you have notified us in advance of your trip.

To advise us of your next trip or with any additional questions, please call (800)592-3328, option 3. For after hours assistance with your CEFCU VISA, you may also call our VISA Card Services Center at (800)654-7728. They are available 24 hours a day.
